If Tarantino and Joel Coen had a baby, and that baby was a short film, that lawless bastard would be Beast. A Lebanese and Irish couple in 1890 Australia must fight an English lawman to protect their home.

Beast is an immigration story. An Australian story. Through the eyes of a strong, female immigrant it explores the troubled history of this land we call home. It’s an unapologetic, action packed look into what it was to become an Australian during the late 19th century. It’s a film to educate, and inspire change towards an understanding, colourful and diverse Australia. And a film to entertain your tits off.

Coming from immigrant and mixed race backgrounds our team believe Beast is an important project because of what it stands for. It’s an exciting step towards representing the country’s history in an inclusive way. At the same time, it’s an allegory to shine a light on Australia’s troubling stance on immigration and refugees.

Our aim is to enter into film festivals locally and internationally.

We believe the film will be important, explosive and special.

Thank you,

Two Peas and the Beast team
